December 2014

This simulator training on "Defensive Driving" for novice drivers has been based on the 4C/ID model in order to make best use of the simulators training potential. Simulator training has been accompanied by theory input, group coaching on the simulator and additional screening exercises in the class-room. The application of further less complex simulators in the context of part-task practice has been discussed.

This simulator training on "Defensive Driving" for novice drivers tested the combination of simulators with different complexity within training for bus drivers. Trainer-led training sessions on a top-of-the-range simulator have been accompanied by individual training on simulators of lower complexity. The course has been tested with novice as well as with experienced drivers.
