ProfDRV and ICT-DRV invited to present at EC stakeholder conference

The ProfDRV and ICT-DRV project coordinator DEKRA has been invited by the European Commission to introduce the learning outcomes approach and related instruments in the framework of the 2003/59/EC consultation stakeholder conference on March 6 2014 in Brussels. Further information on the conference can be found at:

DEKRA introduced the learning outcomes approach in the context of the European Qualifications Framework, its possible added value for the improvement of directive 2003/59/EC in order to reach a common minimum level of qualification, unit and credit models that are also based on learning outcomes and their possible added value for professional driver training in Europe. The conference covered among others the mutual recognition and the quality of initial qualification and periodic training as well as the "structure of training" which has been introduced by DEKRA based on the project results.

The ProfDRV and ICT-DRV project results play a big role within the considerations of the European Commission and also the represented stakeholders were very interested in the projects' results and proposals. The directive will be further investigated by DG MOVE during the upcoming months and the results of this investigation and review work are expected for the 1st quarter of 2015.
